Saturday night weather update for NJ metro


Weather summary: (Posted 11:30pm -- 1/18/2014)

Windy and cold tonight into tomorrow morning. Temps. in the upper teens to mid- 20s.

Mostly cloudy Sunday, with some snow flurries around. Highs reach the upper 30s to around 40 degrees. Winds remain brisk.

Martin Luther King Jr. Monday will be the mildest day of the new work-week, with highs in the lower 40s.
** A strong cold front arrives later in the day ***
Some scattered snow-showers are possible as this front crosses our area.

Tuesday starts out around in the upper teens, with highs only between 20 and 25.  Some snow-showers are likely.

Wednesday is likely to be the coldest day next week, beginning with temps between 0 to 10, with highs only reaching 15 - 18 degrees, despite plenty of sunshine.

Thursday morning will be in the single digits to around 10 degrees once again, with high temperatures topping out in the lower 20s.
More light snow will be around as well, with a gusty wind.

Friday stays quite cold, reaching the mid- 20s, with partly sunny skies.

The start of next weekend is likely to break the freezing mark... before turning much colder again for next Sunday.
