Still some snow for New Jersey

Snow update: Looking like 3-inch snow amounts will only occur in isolated areas -- with more common amounts of 1 or 2 inches for Central New Jersey/NYC and Long Island....
Radar has recently shown a lessening of the snow area.

New Jersey snow

Radar image as of this post: 12:45pm - 12-29-2012.

Saturday snow update: No major changes will be posted... Accumulations of 3 inches will be common across Central New Jersey, NYC and Western Long Island, with little to no snow for Southern New Jersey, and Eastern Long Island, where mostly rain is expected. Major roads and highways will be wet and slushy, but secondary roads and sidewalks will be slippery. The snow should end around 7pm for most of New Jersey, and around 9pm - 10pm for NYC and Long Island respectively.
Updates will be posted as needed.

Update on Saturday snow for New Jersey

With regard to the accumulations, the main roads should be mainly wet to slushy, and no major problems.  Some secondary roads, side-streets, and sidewalks will be slippery.

Some snow for the Garden state

Original radar image time: 8:45am - 12/29/2012

Snow update for Saturday: Everything appears to be on schedule with this quick-moving storm.
Snow will move in this morning -- first in southern NJ, where some rain could mix in at the start, and then into northern NJ, NYC and Long Island respectively.
Snow will fall throughout the afternoon across much of the Garden state. I am continuing the 1 - 3 inch accumulation prediction for much of the NJ/NYC/Long Island area.
The snow will be over by around 7pm in NJ, but will last a bit longer for NYC and Long Island.
Updates will be posted as needed.

Nor'easter for New Jersey

Time of image: 7:30am 12/26/2012

Weather update: Everything appears to be on schedule with this storm as per my previous post.
There are some changes with this post, particularly with snowfall, as temperatures will be a little colder for a little while longer... so be aware of some reduced visibilities later today, when the snow begins...
Snowfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches will be common across much of the Central NJ counties before the changeover...
Farther north and west, snow amounts could reach 3 or 4 inches...
Heavy rain will will be likely once the changeover occurs, and strong wind gusts over 40mph will be common for the entire Garden state tonight and early tomorrow morning.
Updates will be posted this evening.
