Latest text post: 6:05pm -- 1/8/2014

Clear to partly cloudy skies expected tonight. Readings will remain steady or only fall a few degrees into the upper teens for northwest NJ and Long Island, to the lower 20 for NYC and the rest of the Garden state.

Thursday is likely to see sunshine in the morning, with some increase in clouds during the afternoon. High temperatures improve into the lower, to some mid-30s.
Tomorrow night a weak, and quick-moving weather system may bring some light snow or freezing rain... but impacts should be low.
Lows remain in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Friday turns even milder, with some light rain or flurries in the morning. Afternoon highs reach 40 degrees, with some sunshine returning.

*** A strong weather system to arrive over the weekend ***
With the trend for milder temperatures to continue, rain, not snow, is expected...
Some light rain or drizzle begins the day, with steady, to heavier rain moving in during the afternoon and evening.
Windy conditions develop as well -- reaching 30 - 40mph later in day. Temperatures reach the 50s.
More heavy rain is expected into Saturday night,
Sunday has the return of sunshine, but windy conditions remain, gusting over 40mph once again. Highs stay mild, in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
