Slight change to my earlier forecast for NJ metro

** Lowered temps. a bit for the overnight period **

**Overnight will see some lingering rain, along with areas of fog -- as temperatures fall into the lower and mid-50s for much of the area. **

On Thursday, another weather disturbance will cross the area during the day, so more showers and a thunderstorm is expected. Temperatures will top out in the low 70s inland, and mid- 60s at the shore. Rain will only be heavy in a few isolated spots, which radar will determine as they develop.

Friday will be warmer, with highs reaching 80 degrees or above inland, with cooler readings of 60-65 along the coast. Skies will average out partly sunny, with another shower or thunderstorm arriving by evening, mainly for northwestern sections of New Jersey.
This weather system is expected to produce more heavy rain for the first part of the weekend on Saturday...

** Mother's Day should turn out sunny, but breezy, with highs in the 60s to around 70 degrees **

A dry and cool pattern should be in place for the start of next week ...
