More weather changes for NJ metro

Latest post: 4:25pm - 5/28/2013

After a wet Tuesday, more changes will be arriving this week...

The steady rain has ended, and there could even be a break or two of sun before sunset -- with some light rain, drizzle and fog around this evening and overnight. Temperatures will remain steady in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Wednesday could start out with some clouds early, and then some breaks of sunshine will appear. Temperatures are expected to turn much warmer, along with higher humidity. Highs reach between 80 and 85 inland, and upper 60s to around 70 at the shore. There is a 30% chance of an afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm.

Wednesday night might see a shower or thunderstorm early, otherwise skies will be partly cloudy, with areas of fog around. Lows will only drop to around 70 for much of metro NJ and New York City, with mid- to upper 60s for the suburbs, and Long Island.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are forecast to be hot and humid. Temperatures will top out around 90 inland, and around 80 for the beaches. Scattered showers and thunderstorms may be around on Saturday, but are more likely on Sunday.
The second half of the weekend, will still be humid, but cooler, with temperatures between 80 and 85 degrees.
