After some rain on Saturday, the second part of the weekend is brighter for Mothers Day today...
The rest of the afternoon is expected to be sunny and windy. Temperatures will remain in the 60s.
Tonight turns colder, as the wind diminishes. Lows will dip all the way down into the upper 30s for NW New Jersey, and parts of Long Island, to around 40 degrees for the rest of the area.
Monday, for the start of the new work-week, continues on the sunny side, along with cool temperatures, only reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s.
Monday night has more chilly temperature ins store, with clear skies. Temperatures drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s once again.
Tuesday remains cool, with sunshine again. Highs top out between 60 and 65 degrees.
By Wednesday, a warming trend begins, with highs in the mid- 60s, along with the possibility of a shower in the afternoon.
The best chance for rain looks to be on Thursday and Friday, with highs in the mid- to upper 70s.
