Brighter and warmer for NJ metro today

A foggy and damp start for parts of the area this morning -- with some sun returning soon...

Skies will become partly sunny by 10 or 11am for much of the region, and it is expected to turn much warmer today, with highs between 80 and 85 degrees inland, and upper 60s to around 70 at the coast. There is a 30% chance of an afternoon or evening shower/thunderstorm. 

Tonight may see a shower or thunderstorm, otherwise, skies will be partly cloudy. Some patchy fog is possible. It will be a muggy night, with lows only dropping to around 70 for NYC and urban areas of New Jersey, with mid- to upper 60s for the suburbs.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are expected to be hot and humid. Highs top out around 90 degrees inland, and around 80 degrees at the beaches each afternoon.
There is a slight chance for scattered showers or thunderstorms on Saturday. (30%)

Sunday remains warm and humid, but cooler. Temperatures reach between 80 and 85 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms become more likely by afternoon or evening.

Monday looks wet, with less humid weather and sunshine returning Tuesday.
