Better weather on Monday for New Jersey metro

A brighter and warmer Monday for NJ metro
Latest post: 9:15am -- 5/20/2013

After a wet and chilly weekend, the new workweek will see improvements beginning today...

Some clouds are hanging around this morning, but more peeks of sun are expected to return this afternoon -- as highs reach between 75 and 80 degrees inland, and 65 to 70 along the coast. There is a 30% chance of scattered showers, or a thunderstorm.

Tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy, along with areas of fog. Temperatures only fall into the 60s for most areas.

** A warm front moves through overnight **
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will have a summer-like feel during this period -- with warmer temperatures, and higher humidity levels. Each afternoon has the opportunity for some showers and heavy thunderstorms -- with the best chance occurring on Thursday, as a strong weather front moves through. Temperatures will range from the low 80s inland, to the cooler 60s at the shore, due to a breeze of the ocean.

Friday should be dry, and a bit cooler.

Right now, the Memorial day weekend is expected to be fantastic, with sunny skies, pleasant temperatures, and lower humidity!!
