Even warmer today for parts of NJ metro

Latest post: 10:15am -- 5/21/2013

The summer-like start to the week continues today...

Temperatures this morning are already around 70 degrees for much of the area with a mix of sun and clouds.
Skies will be partly sunny for much of time, and highs are expected to top out between 80 and 85 degrees inland, and 65-70 degrees at the shore.
There is a 30% chance of a shower or brief heavy thundershower this afternoon.

Tonight has more clouds moving in, and once again, a shower or thundershower is possible (40% chance). It will be a muggy night, as temperatures only fall to around 70 for NYC, with mid- to upper 60s for the remaining area.

Wednesday continues on the warm side, with partly sunny skies in the morning, and mostly cloudy skies for the afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorm are expected to develop during the day. Highs will reach between 80 and 85 away from the coast, with cooler conditions at the beaches.

** Thursday has the potential for heavy thunderstorms **
Temperatures will top out in the upper 70s.

This weather front is expected to clear the area by the end of the week, and set us up for a great Memorial Day weekend...

Friday could start out with some clouds, with the sun returning for the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 70s once again.

Saturday and Sunday, including Memorial Day Monday, will see plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and pleasant temperatures. Each day should see highs around 70 degrees!!
