Another cool day for NJ metro

Latest post: 9:05am -- 5/14/2013

After temperatures in the 30s early this morning, highs are expected to reach between 60 and 65 degrees for much of the Garden state, NYC, and Long Island. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny, along with a brisk breeze at times.

Tonight turns out clear once again, but not as cold as recent nights. Lows drop into the 40s.

The warm-up begins on Wednesday -- but with mostly cloudy skies. Showers are possible in the afternoon, as temperatures top out in the upper 60s.
Some more showers will be around Wednesday night, with readings in the 50s to around 60 degrees.

Thursday and Friday are expected to be even warmer, but now expected to be dry days, as a weather disturbance which was earlier forecasted to move into the area, stays south of the region. Skies average out partly sunny.

The weekend remains warm, and could turn cloudy and wet, as a storm system comes close to us once again. Highs reach the 60s to around 70 degrees.

** Updates on the weekend will be monitored, and the forecast will be adjusted accordingly.
