Will the entire weekend see sunshine?

Latest post: 1:35pm -- 6/22/2013

Our great streak of weather is expected to continue for the weekend...

The rest of this afternoon will be mostly sunny, with warm temperatures, reaching the mid- 80s inland, and the lower 70s at the shore.

On Sunday, a weak weather disturbance will cross the area, which could touch off a scattered shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon, particularly for northern and western New Jersey. Highs top out in the mid- and upper 80s away from the coast, with mid- to upper 70s at the beaches.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will turn hot, with day-time readings around 90 degrees inland, and around 80 degrees at the coast. Each afternoon is expected to see scattered showers and thunderstorms.

By Thursday and Friday, and stronger weather front will be approaching, providing our area with the best chance of rain.
