More comfortable weather for NJ metro arriving soon

Latest post: 11:10am - 6/3/2013

After several hot and humid days, a weather front has begun the change to cooler conditions today...

Much of the NJ metro area has seen rain this morning, and some left-over showers are still possible this afternoon, particularly for southern NJ and Long Island. Skies may brighten a bit at times, with highs expected to reach the upper 70 to lower 80s.

Tonight turns out clear and much more pleasant compared to recent nights. The humidity drops, as temperatures fall from the 60s this evening to the mid- 50s by morning. This means very comfortable sleeping weather, so open up those windows for some fresh air from Mother Nature!

Tuesday and Wednesday are the picks of the week -- and look great, with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 70s.

By Thursday, the clouds come back, with some showers possible in the afternoon. Rain is likely for Friday and Saturday.
