The heat, humidity, and rain will be taking a break for a few days...

The weather front which brought us the wet weather on Monday has moved away, and is being replaced by a refreshing air-mass, plenty of sunshine, and pleasant temperatures.
Highs today will reach the mid- 70s, along with a cool breeze.

Tonight remains clear. Lows fall into the low and mid- 50s for much of urban New Jersey and New York City. Readings are expected to drop even further, into the mid- 40s for parts of northwestern sections of the Garden state and Long Island.

Wednesday features more of the same -- mostly sunny skies, and highs, once again, in the middle 70s for much of the area.

Thursday is showing signs by the weather models of some changes. Skies will start out with some sun in the morning, with mostly cloudy conditions expected by afternoon. Some showers are even possible by late in the day or evening. High temperatures will be cooler, topping out in the lower 70s inland, and mid- 60s along the shore.

By Friday and Saturday, the weather maps are indicating the possibility of a stronger storm moving up the East coast. The forecast is still un-clear, but rain is a good possibility as we end the week, and begin the upcoming weekend.

Future weather data will determine the details.
