A nice stretch of weather ahead for New Jersey metro

Latest post: 3:30pm -- 6/19/2013

After many days of wet weather this month, a dry and pleasant pattern has arrived... and will continue for several days.

The rest of this afternoon is expected to remain mostly sunny. Temperatures are nice and warm, staying in the 70s for the remainder of the day.
Tonight will be clear and comfortable. Lows fall into the 50s in the suburbs, and the lower 60s for much of urban New Jersey and New York City.

Tomorrow turns out mainly sunny once again, with highs topping out in the upper 70s and lower 80s for much of the area.

More great weather continues for Friday, and the start of the weekend on Saturday, with warming temperatures, reaching between 80 and 85 inland, but cooler readings along the shore.

Sunday will remain mostly sunny and warm, but with a slight chance (30%) of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm, particularly for northern and western New Jersey. Highs may reach the upper 80s away from the coast, and upper 70s at the beaches.

Monday and Tuesday of next week are expected to be warm and humid, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible each afternoon.
