The weather has turned cloudy again after two very nice days on Tuesday and Wednesday...

Rain has been falling across northern and western sections of the Garden state, and the rest of New Jersey, New York City, and Long Island will see wet weather after dark, and overnight. Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s and lower 60s.
We can thank a weather system from the west for the showers tonight...

** Tropical storm Andrea to move into the southeast U.S., and then up the East Coast, as an EXTRA-TROPICAL system tomorrow. **

** Flood watch issued for all of N.J. except for the counties of Warren and Sussex, as well as for the 5 boroughs of New York City, and all of Long Island. **

On Friday, the weather pattern will be set up with the weather system from the west, and the remnants of Tropical Storm Andrea. Periods of rain are expected, some of which will be heavy, along with some rumbles of thunder. Street and highway flooding are possible, so take it slow heading into work, as well as with the drive home. Highs will mainly be in the 60s to around 70 degrees.

More down-pours are expected during Friday night, tapering off to showers after midnight. Lows will be in the sticky 60s.

On Saturday, conditions overall will be better. Some showers may be around for the early morning, ending by 6am or so.
There will be several hours of rain-free weather from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. Another weather disturbance will cross the area during the mid- late afternoon, so some more scattered showers and a thunderstorm can be expected. Temperatures should reach 70 degrees, but could be higher, depending on how much sun appears during the day.

Sunday continues to shown by the weather models as the better of the two weekend days, with partly sunny skies, and highs around 75 degrees.

Monday has the chance for showers returning, along with similar temperatures.

** Updates will be issued accordingly on any flood warnings **
