Weather changes this week for NJ metro

Latest post: 9:20am -- 10/21/2013

Baby it's cold outside....

Many areas in the Garden state are starting off the day in the 30s...
Temperatures will warm up into the mid- 60s this afternoon.
Sunshine is expected from start to finish.

Skies are expected to be partly cloudy tonight -- with evening readings dropping through the 50s...
Wake-up temperatures on Tuesday will be in the upper 30s in the suburbs, with most other areas between 45 and 50 degrees.

** A strong cold front arrives Tuesday evening **
Before it arrives, clouds and sun will be mixed tomorrow, as highs top out in the mid- to upper 60s. There can be some sprinkles or a light shower later in the day or at night, as the front moves through.
Lows tomorrow night fall into the 40s.

Much cooler conditions begin on Wednesday. A weather disturbance will develop to our south, where the cold front is stalled, and move our way...
Rain is likely, especially in the morning. Highs on Wednesday stay in the 50s, along with a gusty breeze.

Thursday and Friday continue chilly -- along with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures top out around 55 degrees on Thursday, and only around 50 degrees on Friday.
There may be some scattered showers each afternoon -- and, in some higher elevations of northwestern New Jersey, and especially the Poconos and Catskills, some snow flurries are possible.

More updates later today.
