Thursday evening weather update for NJ metro

Below post: 6:30pm -- 10/17/2013

Weekend weather update:
Friday will be sunny and breezy. Highs top out in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees.

On Saturday, a cold front approaches the area...
Increasing clouds are expected in the afternoon, as temps reach the mid- to upper 60s.
Some scattered showers are possible Saturday night, but, the next front has similar characteristics to the one tonight, which weakened as it approached our area, so I do not expect much from the second front as well.

Sunday now looks cooler, but mainly sunny. Highs top out between 60 and 65 degrees, along with a brisk wind.

Monday and Tuesday turn milder again, with partly to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures reach between 65 and 70 degrees.

*** A much stronger cold front moves through Tuesday night, setting up a chilly second half of next week -- when highs may stay only in the 50s. ***
