Tuesday afternoon weather update for NJ metro

Latest post: 12:40pm -- 10/15/2013

A beautiful day continues...
Temperatures will top out in the upper 60s and lower 70s this afternoon.
Some clouds may filter the sun later on, but rain is not expected.

By tonight, the sky does become cloudy, and some patchy drizzle and fog will develop. Lows only fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s.

A weather system will be weakening as it approaches the area tomorrow...

Wednesday is forecast to be mainly on the cloudy side. The start of the day may have some light rain, drizzle and fog, with much of the afternoon expected to be dry.
By late in the day, and during the evening, a few, light, scattered showers will be around. Highs top out around 70 inland, and middle 60s at the coast.
Wednesday night can also see some light showers. Patchy fog and drizzle will be around as well. Lows drop into the upper 50s to around 60 degrees.

This weak front is forecast to stall near us on Thursday..
Thursday begins damp, but the sun could make an appearance for a while during the day, before clouds arrive late in the afternoon.
Highs reach the low to mid 70s for much of the area.

On Thursday night, a weather system from the south moves along this front. The models are indicating a better chance of showers for Thursday night.

Friday is expected to turn out mostly sunny, with highs around 70.

Nice weather should continue through the weekend.

More updates as necessary.
