Update on approaching weather front for NJ metro

Latest post: 11am -- 10/7/2013

Weather discussion:
My thinking is that a period of heavy rain will begin between 3 - 5pm, which can be accompanied by some lightning and thunder, as well as wind gusts to between 30 and 40mph during this time frame.

The Tornado Watch means that conditions are marginally favorable
in our region for any of these thunderstorms to have a low chance (about 10-20%) of producing a tornado, which radar can determine as these thunderstorms develop.

After 6pm or so, the heavy rain, and possible thunderstorms, will transition to a general steady rain until around 8pm or so.

More details as necessary.

Sunshine returns for Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the 60s to around 70 degrees.
