Timing of the showers and thunderstorms is on schedule .. with northern and central NJ , as well as NYC seeing the best opportunity for showers and thunderstorms, some severe between now (6:15pm) and 7:30pm, and southern NJ between 7pm and 8pm, and Long Island between 8pm and 9pm.
