Friday evening weather update for NJ metro

Latest post: 6:40pm -- 9/20/2013

A dry start to Saturday...
Some sun possible early, but clouds should dominate much of the day.

Weather models continue to slow the onset of the wet weather but are all consistent in ending the rain around the same time early Sunday.

Showers arrive Saturday evening between 7pm-8pm, first in western, and southwestern NJ, between 8-9pm for the rest of the Garden state, around 9pm for NYC, and closer to 10pm for Long Island

There is a heavy rain threat with this next system...
This would primarily occur between midnight until 6am Sunday for all areas.
Flooding possibilities will be monitored.

The rain should be over Sunday morning between 5am - 8am, first in NJ, then NYC and lastly on Long Island.

More details and further adjustments on the arrival and end of the rain will be made as needed.
