Labor Day forecast for NJ metro

Latest post: 11:30pm -- 9/1/2013

After some showers and thunderstorms during Sunday, a warm and muggy night is expected....

Low temperatures will fall into the upper 60s in the suburbs to the lower 70s for urban NJ and for New York City.
Another shower or thunderstorm is possible (40% chance).

Labor Day Monday is forecast to be mainly cloudy...
The weather front will be very near our area, producing showers and thunderstorms ... some with heavy downpours. Severe weather is not anticipated, but will be monitored. Highs top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Some left-over showers are expected Monday night, with readings dropping to around 70 degrees.

Tuesday can still see some more showers, as this latest weather front is now indicated to remain over the region. Temperatures reach between 80 and 85 degrees.

Wednesday through Friday of next week will be brighter and less humid, with high temperatures in the low to mid-80s Wednesday and Thursday, and the upper 70s for Friday.
