A partly to mostly sunny Sunday will round out the weekend, with highs around 70 degrees.
The ocean storm continues to be forecasted by the weather models to remain well off-shore on Monday.
Much of the region will be mostly sunny on Monday, with eastern Long Island seeing overcast conditions, but should remain dry.
The rest of the week will see the dry weather streak continue, with warmer temperatures around 80 degrees to start the new month of October.
The next chance of rain looks to occur sometime next weekend.
