Thursday morning weather update for NJ metro

Isolated thunderstorms have been occurring over northwestern sections of New Jersey this morning -- warranting flood warnings.
Some additional scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop this morning into early this afternoon for the metro area...

The main line of storms, associated with the strong cold front, is in Ohio this morning -- and is forecast to arrive late this afternoon and tonight.

Rain will be arriving first in western and northwestern NJ around 5pm, the rest of NJ and NYC between 6 and 7pm, and for Long Island between 7pm and 8pm tonight,
Flooding and severe weather possibilities will be monitored.

Additional updates to fine-tune the timing will be posted as radar images continue to be analyzed.
