Wet Friday -- then a heat wave again for NJ metro

Latest post: 2:45pm - 7/12/2013

Weather update:
Many areas across the NJ metro area are seeing light rain, thanks to a weather from moving back toward the area.
The heaviest rain is down in southern NJ...

The weather models keep the heaviest rain there for much of the evening and tonight -- with scattered showers elsewhere for the Garden state, NYC and Long Island.
This weather system will be mainly over Delaware, Maryland and Virginia tomorrow, keeping most of the wet conditions in those areas, but a pop-up shower or thunderstorm is possible for our area as well.
Sunday is looking like the nicer, but the hotter of the two weekend days... as we begin another heat-wave -- which is forecast to be with us right through next week with highs reaching 90-95 inland, and 80s at the shore...
