Weather update:
It's been raining across much of southern and central NJ since around 6am this morning...
More of central and northern NJ will get in on the wet weather over the next hour or two...
Heavy downpours are possible for anyone in the NJ/NYC/Long Island metro area today...
Severe weather will also be monitored.
An update on the weekend will be posted later today.
