The week ends -- but the heat wave does not for NJ metro

Weather update: (7:45am -- 7/19/2013)

Another day of 95-100 temperatures. (Day 6 of the heat wave).
Slight chance of an afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm, particularly for northwest New Jersey. (20-30%).

Saturday looks like day 7 of 90+ degree temperatures, but this will  be the last day of the current heat wave. Strong to potentially severe thunderstorms are forecast to arrive later in the afternoon and evening.
Sunday will be cooler -- mid- to upper 80s, with a low to moderate chance of showers. Humidity looks to fall during the course of the day.
