Holiday weekend video forecast for metro NJ

Hot over the holiday weekend...

Latest text post: 8:50am -- 7/3/2013

After a wet start for many areas this week, a drier weather pattern is on the way...

This afternoon is expected to be mostly cloudy... some showers will be around, but flooding is not anticipated. Highs top out between 80-85 inland, and upper 70s at the coast.

Tonight could see a few showers as well. Temperatures drop into the upper 60s to lower 70s.

** Fourth of July turns out partly to mostly sunny. **
High pressure will be moving back into the area. Until it fully arrives tomorrow, there is a 20% chance of a shower or thunderstorm -- but this may be reduced once more weather data is analyzed.
Highs reach the upper 80s to around 90 degrees inland, with upper 70s to lower 80s at the shore.

** Tomorrow night is expected to be mainly clear for fireworks festivities. I am not mentioning a chance for rain. Lows fall into the upper 60s to lower 70s once again. **

Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be partly to mostly sunny. Hot temperatures are expected to be the main story over the weekend. There is a slight chance (20%) of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm on Sunday. Highs top out around 90 degrees inland, and lower 80s at the beaches. Enjoy!
