Scattered storms this weekend; everyone gets hot next week

NJ metro weekend weather update:

Before the heat returns on for the new work-week, we have to deal with one or two more weather disturbances -- particularly for today...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms can occur at any point this afternoon. Radar will determine the areas that have the best opportunity to get wet. Temperatures will top out between 80 and 85 degrees.
On Sunday, it turns warmer, reaching 85-90 degrees, with only an isolated shower or thunderstorm.
We are expecting a prolonged heat wave next week, with highs in the 90s. Heat advisories and air quality alerts will likely be issued.

More details as they become available.
