The heat not the weather story this week for NJ metro

Warm and humid with scattered storms

The heat wave is over, but the humidity and the threat for rain is on the increase once again...

This afternoon will see highs between 80 and 85 degrees, and scattered storms this today will become more numerous late this afternoon... some with heavy downpours.

Tonight continues the chance for showers and thunderstorms, with muggy temperatures falling to around 70 degrees, and some suburbs dropping into the mid- to upper 60s.

Tuesday is being shown by the weather models to give us our best chance for rain this week, along with humid conditions once again, and some heavy downpours. Temperatures are expected to top out between 80 and 85.

The latest weather disturbance should clear the area by Wednesday, and we should stay dry right through end of the week.

The weekend might become unsettled by Sunday.
