Much warmer for NJ metro today

Latest post: 12:30pm -- 8/20/2013

Plenty of sunshine returns for this afternoon...
Temperatures will try to reach 90 degrees today. For areas that reach this, it would be the first time in nearly a month.

Tonight turns out mainly clear. Lows fall into the mid- 60s for much of the region.

More of the same is expected on Wednesday, with very warm temperatures, topping out around 90 degrees, along with partly to mostly sunny skies.

By Thursday, the next weather front will be arriving, increasing the humidity, along with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will reach the mid- 80s.

Friday could see some clouds early, with sunshine for the afternoon.
Highs will be between 80 and 85 degrees.

The weekend looks great -- with sunshine, low humidity, a nice breeze -- and highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s for Saturday and Sunday.
