Latest post: 9:50am -- 8/18/2013

A weather system has moved close enough to us for the second half of the weekend...

Skies are mainly cloudy, and some light rain will be around for much of the region today. Highs are expected to be cooler, reaching the mid- to upper 70s.

Tonight may still see some light rain around early, with skies remaining cloudy overnight. Temperatures fall in the 60s.

Monday, to start off the new work-week will see partly to mostly cloudy skies, with a slight chance (20%) for a passing shower. Highs top out around 80 degrees.

Much of the remainder of the week will be dry from Tuesday through Thursday. It turns warmer, with highs in the mid- to upper 80s, with a few spots topping out at 90 degrees.

The next chance of rain arrives on Friday.
