Clouds and a passing shower for NJ metro today

Latest post: 1:55pm -- 8/19/2013

Clouds have moved back into the area...

High temperatures will top out around 80 degrees. There is a slight chance (20%) of a passing shower or thunderstorm later today.

Tonight turns out partly cloudy, with readings dropping into the upper 60s for much of the area.

For tomorrow and Wednesday, it will be warmer and more humid, with highs reaching the upper 80s. A few spots could touch 90 degrees each afternoon. If this occurs it would be the first 90-degree afternoon since late July.

Thursday will be humid with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid- to upper 80s.

Friday turns out partly to mostly sunny, and cooler, with lower humidity.

The weekend at this point should be pleasant, with sunshine.
