Summer-like weather continues for NJ metro today

Another beautiful day for New Jersey metro today
Latest post: 9:15am - 4/9/2013

After a nice start to the work-week, weather conditions will be summer-like again for Tuesday as well.
Skies will be mostly sunny for much of the day, and temperatures are expected to reach 80 degrees for locations away from the coast, with 60s along the shore.

Tonight will see some clouds -- and there is a slight chance (20%) for a passing shower, particularly for areas in northern and western sections of New Jersey. Low temperatures will be mild once again, only dropping into the 50s for much of NJ/NYC and Long Island.

The latest weather maps are indicating a bit of a change for Wednesday...
A weather front will be in the vicinity of the NJ metro area. Exactly where this front positions itself will determine our weather conditions. At this time, areas in central and southern New Jersey have the best chance of reaching 80 degrees. For northern NJ, NYC and Long Island, more clouds are expected, and even a few afternoon showers could arrive, which might hold temperatures closer to 70 degrees. A better idea of the front will be known later today.

A stronger weather system will approach the area later Thursday. Mostly cloudy skies are expected... with high temperatures holding in the 60s.
Rain arrives Thursday evening or Thursday night, and continues into Friday morning.
Temperatures on Friday will top out in the 60s.

The weekend will dry out, with sunshine returning, and more seasonable readings in the 50s to around 60 degrees.

Another update will be posted later today on this changing weather pattern..
